Iditarod 2011

Welcome to the web site which records the adventures of GB Jones and his dogs in preparation for
the 2011 Iditarod,  and other good things of life !

September 2, 2010 *** Today Charley Bejna and the team made a trek out to the Goose Bay Airport. This photo
was taken by Charley as the team was about to depart the air strip. The leaders are Raz and Thunder, swing dogs are Colo and Nellie, and behind them are Aafes and Andy, Mia and Poncho, Elvis and Ruth, and wheel dogs
Sunny and Mick.
Directly in front of the Goose Bay Airport sign  there is another sign which reads "No Shooting" and it too is shot up!

This is Charley and Lorie from the great state of Illinois. They are here in the Mat-Su Valley taking in the Alaskan sights, the state fair and helping train the Iditarod Trail dog team! Charley will be doing a mid-distance dog sled race here in Alaska this up coming season and is helping to train the team! Today (September 1st, 2010) Charley took a string
of 12 dogs down the Iditarod Trail with the four wheeler and all went well.
